Accessibility Statement
We want our digital services to be accessible and usable for everyone – regardless of physical or technical conditions. That’s why we are continuously working to make our content and features barrier-free, in accordance with the requirements of EU Directive 2019/882 and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). Our efforts are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
This accessibility statement applies to the website coblens.com and all associated subpages.
Current accessibility status
This website is currently undergoing active optimization. Many elements have already been adapted to ensure accessible use:
- Full keyboard navigation
- Clearly structured content and text
- Descriptive alternative text for all relevant images
- Verified and improved color contrast
- Properly labeled input fields and forms
Additional improvements are being planned or implemented. Our goal is to make all essential content fully accessible according to current standards.
Non-accessible content
Some of our embedded videos currently do not have subtitles. We are working on providing subtitles for all videos in the future to ensure accessibility for all users.
Limitations due to disproportionate burden
Certain content published before the current accessibility regulations came into effect may not fully meet today's standards. Retrofitting this content would require a disproportionate amount of effort. However, all new content is being developed with full accessibility in mind and in accordance with current best practices.
Evaluation methods
To evaluate accessibility, we used the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool. The analysis showed that the website currently does not contain any critical barriers and meets the core accessibility requirements.
